The short description of the trunk

When speaking of the trunk of a car, we generally mean the place located under the rear window. Very few vehicles have the trunk in the front, as their back serves as engine compartment. By definition, however, the trunk can be in the back but also in the front of the car.

The operation of the trunk

Since the trunk is closed and can not be reached from the inside, sometimes a small opening is made, allowing longer and narrower objects to be carried. The open trunk, however, is separated by a cover plate from the interior of the vehicle, so that this region can be reached from the back and from the interior of the vehicle.
