General information about Mercedes-Benz company
Mercedes-Benz is the best known car brand of today’s Daimler AG. The German company with its headquarters in Stuttgart emerged from the Daimler-Benz AG, which itself emerged from a fusion between Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie. In 1926, the Rheinische Gasmotorenfabrik (gas engine factory) was founded. In 1900, after car racing enthusiast and businessman Emil Jellinek registered several racing cars that were built by Daimler at different car races, the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft began producing vehicles with the brand name Mercedes. The namesake of the company was his own daughter, Mercedes. In 1902, this name was legally protected as an exclusive brand name. From 1910 on, Mercedes models had the classic Mercedes star on their hood. After the fusion with Benz & Cie., the car brand was renamed Mercedes-Benz. Today, the brand name is used in various business segments of the Daimler AG, for example in Mercedes-Benz Bank, the company’s credit institution that was founded in 2007. With the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, the company also has its own exhibition of historical vehicles. High quality Mercedes-Benz used cars are offered by the manufacturer with service guaranteed; they are called young star.
If you need new Mercedes spare parts or original Mercedes accessories:
Many car parts today are designed to last a whole vehicle lifespan and therefore never need to be replaced. However, many car parts are subject to a constant wear and tear by mechanical stress, aging and corrosion; they need regular maintenance and, if necessary, a replacement. Typical wear and tear parts are clutch or brake linings. The usual change intervals are, dependent on driving and vehicle model, at around 80,000 to 100,000 kilometers. According to the General German Automobile Club (ADAC), electrical or electronic defects often cause car breakdowns. These include a defective battery, a broken starter motor or problems with a control unit, for example the electronic engine control.
