General information about the car manufacturer
The company Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, abbreviated as Fiat, is based in North Italian Turin, and was founded in 1899. At that time, the car manufacturer also put its first model on the market, the Fiat 3,5 HP. The company became involved in motorsports early on and in 1911 entered the United States Grand Prix with its model S 74. From the 1930s on, Fiat began to produce primarily affordable small and medium cars for a broad market. A pioneer for the development of the mini car was two-seater Fiat 500 Topolino in 1936. This development continued well into the 1950s and 1960s, which saw more and more different Fiat models produced under licence by car manufacturers in Spain, Turkey, the Soviet Union and later Poland. An example of this is the SEAT 124 which was built between 1968 and 1980 from a licence for the Fiat 124. Cooperation with Peugeot, Citroen, Saab, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari followed and Fiat became temporarily the largest automobile producer worldwide. Other successful cars that were produced before the Millennium included for example the medium and small car models Ritmo, Panda, Uno and Cinquecento as well as the successor models Punto and Seicento. In 2007, the new Fiat 500 and renewed Panda were put on the market. Leisure activity vehicle Fiat Doblò is offered by Opel as the licenced model Opel combo. After merging with Chrysler in 2014, Fiat is now part of the company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), which is based in the Netherlands.
Some situations, when you probably need to buy new original Fiat spare parts
Wear and tear, aging and corrosion require the exchange of various car parts after a certain amount of time. Especially car parts that are vital for safety, such as brake linings, brake hoses or tires should regularly be maintained and replaced if necessary. This advice also applies to the wear and tear parts of the engine and the automotive electrics such as spark plugs, lamps, v-belts and the car battery.
